Kathleen Paton of Philippines crowned Miss Eco International 2022

The 7th edition of Miss Eco International, i.e. Miss Eco International 2022 was held on 17th March 2022 at the Jolie Ville Resort & SPA kings Island Luxor, Luxor, Egypt where forty delegates competed for the international crown. At the end of the event finale, Kathleen Paton of Philippines was crowned Miss Eco International 2022.

Kathleen Paton gave a stellar performance throughout the competition, making it to almost all the hot picks of the pageant fanatics. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Eco International 2021 Gizzelle Uys of South Africa. She is the second Filipina to win the title after Cynthia Thomalla in 2018. Hailing from Laserna, Nabas, Aklan, the 24-year-old Filipina-Australian is a veteran in beauty pageants. Prior to winning Miss Eco Philippines in 2021, she became Miss Manila in 2018, Miss Miss Teen International 2017 and 1st runner-up in Miss Teen Asia Australia.

 

 

The newly crowned Miss Eco International 2022 Kathleen Paton’s court includes –

1st Runner-up – Chloë Reweghs of Belgium

2nd Runner-up – Jesaura “Jessy” Peralta of USA

3rd Runner-up – Lucia Morales of Spain

4th Runner-up – Prasana Shri of Malaysia

During the Q&A portion Paton was asked the question, "As a titleholder, you are a public figure. Do you think it's important to stay neutral on controversial social issues or to use your title to promote your own belief?”

Sharing her winning answer, the Filipina beauty said, "We sometimes have to use our voice in a very neutral state of mind because we have a very influential position. But in doing so, we also need to use our voice in order to motivate other people to stand up for what is right. I think that takes a lot of good moral compass."

The special awards presented at the competition were as follows – Best in Evening Gown: Prasana Shri (Malaysia), Miss Eco Elegance: Prasana Shri (Malaysia), Miss Eco Top Model: Sue Chinchilla Bermudez (Costa Rica), Best Eco Dress: Prasana Shri (Malaysia), Miss Eco Video: Kathleen Joy Paton (Philippines) and Best National Costume: Diana Hamed (Egypt).
