Miss Ecuador 2018 is in full swing! On 9th February 2018, the organization chose its Best Typical Costume which was worn by Virginia Limongi who is representing Manabi at the national pageant to be held on 5th May 2018.

The chosen outfit, named ‘Ecuador in its purest form’ is a creation of Wenceslao Muñoz who won the designation for the fifth time in a row. The outfit will be worn by the winner of the competition who will represent her country at Miss Universe 2018.

 The dress was inspired by the four regions of Ecuador, highlighting its national significance. The designer exclaimed, “The show, the quality, the material used, I think it has everything to give something to talk about in the Miss Universe.”

The second place was awarded to Norma Tejada whose outfit, ‘Diosa del Agro’, was designed by Manolo Loor. The chosen outfit will be worn by the contestant who will win the right to represent Ecuador at Miss International 2018 on the coronation night.

The third place was awarded to Allison Matamoros who is representing Guayas at Miss Ecuador 2018. The outfit, ‘Earth and Magic’, belongs to Jefferson Vera and will be worn by the contestant who will win the right to represent Ecuador at Miss Supranational 2018.

Before the election of the costume winner, the delegates walked in their evening dress which was attended by the Queen of Guayaquil Sonia Luna, Miss Continentes Unidos Ecuador 2017 Bianca Benavides, Miss Ecuador 2015 Francesca Cipriani and Miss Ecuador 2016 Connie Jiménez.
