“It was very exciting for the first time we had two Quevedo candidates in Miss Ecuador and for the first time a woman from Quevedo takes the crown. "When we both went to the semifinal I was holding hands with Saskya, and I told him: we took the crown for Quevedo! And how nice to finish with a countrywoman between the two finalists”, said the new sovereign after being crowned.

As Miss Ecuador 2020, Leyla plans to work on a social project aimed at women victims of domestic abuse. “I think this year, in which we are going through difficult situations and living many changes rather, it is a perfect year to be in a reign, to work in social and leave a mark”, she said.

Congratulations to the newly crowned queen!
