Alissa Anderegg is Miss World America 2020

Miss World America organization held its virtual finale two days ago where Alissa Anderegg won the title of Miss World America 2020 and became the official representative of USA at Miss World 2021. Miss World America 2019 Emmy Cuvelier will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Alissa Anderegg represented New York at the national contest. Alissa began her journey by winning Beauty with a Purpose award and securing a spot in the Top 15. Her platform of Alzheimer’s advocacy won her the award which constitutes to 50% of the overall score. The final Top 5 which battled for the crown also included Alissa Musto, Molly May, Megan Gordon and Manya Saaraswat. They were chosen from the Head to Head Challenge, one of the most challenging and intense rounds of the competition. The Top 5 then went on to compete in the last Tic Talk Challenge as the winner was chosen.

The contestants who competed for Miss World America 2020 were Annie Li , Melanie Wardhana, Serene Singh, Anais Gendelman, Jasity Rush, Skylaer Palacios, Angela Hilario, Ansima Rosette Mamboleo, Amulya Chava, Carissa Wu, Alissa Musto, Molly May, Emily Curtis, Taylor Fogg, Alissa Anderegg, Tori Nelson, Manju Bangalore, Manya Saaraswat, Megan Gordon, Johanna Michelle Perez, Catherine Perez, Sharon Chung, Shree Saini, Mangala Chava and Andrianna Acosta.

Also, at the virtual event, Miss Teen World America 2020 title was presented to Rachel Roberts. She represented Maryland at the Teen contest giving a strong performance. She was also Teen interview challenge winner (25% of overall score) and Teen Beauty with a Purpose winner (because of her dedication with helping and spreading awareness for the needs of foster kids).

Last year, Emmy Cuvelier Miss World America 2019 represented her country at Miss World 2019 and won a spot in the Top 20 with her stunning performance. United States holds 3 Miss World crowns under its belt.
