The 70th edition of Miss Ecuador i.e., Miss Ecuador 2020 will be held in the month of September at Teatro del Parque Las Vegas in Portoviejo, Manabí. Miss Ecuador 2019 Cristina Hidalgo from Guayas will crown her successor at the end of the event and the winner will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2020 stage and the runner-up will represent the country at Miss International 2020 stage.
With the names of delegates competing already announced a few month ago, Milena Gusmán is emerging as fan’s favourite and the front runner for the title of Miss Ecuador 2020. Milena is 25-years-old and stands 170 cm tall. She is representing Ibarra at the competition and is studying the first semester of the Fashion Design career. She works as a professional model and directs the Manos Solidarias Foundation. Milena is very passionate about representing the country at the international stage.
The diva is not new to the pageantry as she was Reina de Ibarra 2018 and has also worked with various designers and brands in Ecuador which has helped her in gaining experience and intensive knowledge about beauty pageants. The people she has worked with describe her as a hardworking, quick to learn, and determined woman.
“For me it is an enormous satisfaction to be able to represent all the Imbabureños in this pageant such as Miss Ecuador; It was a dream since I was a child to be able to participate to tell a life story, to tell a story beyond beauty, because there is the intelligence of the imbabureña woman ”, she mentioned. She further added that representing Ibarra is a responsibility for her and she will give her best for that.
“It is something that makes you proud, not for being a pretty face, but because it allows you to work for the most vulnerable sectors; behind the mountains there are many families, who are totally abandoned, they need many thing,” she concluded. Milena is using the platform to promote Imbarra as a world Geopark and make mention of all the cantons of the province. She wants to promote the culture, tradition, crafts, and of fighting people in Imbabura.
Milena is always trying to improve with every project she works on and she is very grateful for all the opportunities she has received as they have helped her to shape up in the woman she is today. She is also thankful to her family and friends who have always helped her throughout her journey. By winning Miss Ecuador 2020, she aims to make them proud along with the people of Ecuador.
Milena is beautiful, confident, and focused towards her goals and dreams and is very proud of her culture and traditions. She would be a potential delegate to represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2020 stage as she is experienced, strong opinionated, and determined to represent Ecuador at international level. She makes sure she works on her body every day along with working on on-stage walk and communication skills. She can be a strong contender for the title and her beautiful curly hair just adds up to her beauty.
