Miss England 2023 Jessica Gagen recently visited the NASA Kennedy Space Centre, taking a big step closer to the dream of becoming an astronaut. The 27-year-old is a rocking scientist by day and builds the stronger dream of conquering space in the night.

Jessica has a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Liverpool. She was invited to Las Vegas, Nevada, to be a keynote speaker at a conference organized by the International Space Station. After giving a speech on women and children in STEM, Gagen was then invited to visit the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida.

“Coming here aged 16 sparked an interest in all things rocket science. Coming here aged 23 had me excited to start my degree in aerospace engineering! Coming here aged 28 has me nostalgic, armed with my degree and excited for the future”, Jessica quoted.

Jessica spent time with Boeing employees as they toured space shuttle design areas, the building of a space shuttle and more. The stunner also watched two rockets being launched, a trip every aerospace engineer could ever dream of.

As she keeps her dream of being an astronaut alive for the future, Jessica will represent England at the upcoming edition of Miss World which will be held in India where Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
