Miss Environment International organization, through their official social media, announced the changes in the finale schedule of the 2nd edition of the international pageant to be held in India. Kayra Wouters of Belgium won the inaugural edition of Miss Environment International in April 2022.

The official statement read as follows –

“Since June 2022, we have been heavily preparing for the second edition of Miss Environment International 2023. As you have noticed by now on social media, our pageant is in full expansion, and we are growing every day to make the second edition a successful one. With our motto 'Beauty begins with environmental care', we are trying to make a differentiation compared to our counterparts within the pageant world. We thank you in advance, the team and our pageant fans all over the world.

Safety is an absolute priority for us and takes precedence everywhere in the organisation of an international event. The problem that has arisen is that the management where we initially booked the venue unfortunately cannot meet on our security requirements. The management informed us by official letter this morning, by e-mail, that renovation works planned by them on the building will not be completed on the day of our grand finale, i.e. 11 June 2023.

With a lot of luck today, we were able to find an equivalent venue that does meet our requirements, but is not available on the scheduled date. As a result, we are forced to postpone the pageant by several days.

Concretely, the pageant will officially start on Monday 5 June 2023 instead of Tuesday 31 May 2023, with the arrival of the international delegation scheduled for Sunday 4 June 2023 (if you arrive on Saturday 3 or Sunday 4 June, please contact our management in advance, so we can arrange the necessary accommodation for you). The grand final is scheduled for Thursday 15 June instead of Sunday 11 June 2023. The departure of the international delegation is scheduled for Friday 16 June 2023.

The coronation night of Miss Environment  International 2022 was held in Mumbai, India on 2nd April 2022 where Kayra Wouters of Belgium was crowned the new winner of the title. The debut edition of Miss Environment International 2022 was supposed to be held in 2020 but was postponed for two consecutive years due to rampant spread of covid-19 around the world.
