Michelle Arceo was crowned Miss Environment Philippines 2021 at the finale of Miss World Philippines 2021 which was held on 3rd October 2021 in Olongapo City, Philippines. She is all set to represent Philippines at the debut edition of Miss Environment International 2022 as she will fly to India for the finals.

Arceo’s father is American while her mother is Filipino. In 2017, Arceo won the ‘Gandang Filipina’ competition of the GMA 7 show Wowowin. At the finale night, during the Q/A round, Michelle was asked, “Would you rather live in a world without the pandemic or without corruption?”

The Filipino-American candidate answered, “I would pick a world without corruption because we’re surrounded by it every day and everywhere we look. It can really suffer the lives. People every day suffer from it and it can affect everyday people. If we can eradicate that, we can solve so many problems and we can get through a pandemic easily the next time we go about it. We, the people, need to be taken care of. Thank you.”

Michelle is quite excited to begin her journey at the international pageant. She has begun her preparations and is grateful for all the support.
