Miss Earth United States 2018 is all set to organize its grand finale on 14th July 2018 where delegates from all over the States will compete for the national crown.Andreia Gibau, the reigning Miss Earth United States, will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
But before that, here we have Miss Florida Earth United States 2018 Alexi Gropper sharing her experience and journey of being the national delegate of Miss Earth United States 2018 in an exclusive interview with Angelopedia.

Q . How does it feel to be the winner of Miss Florida Earth United States 2018 and a delegate of Miss Earth United States 2018?
It feels amazing to be the newly crowned Miss Florida Earth United States 2018 and I’m so excited about attending the upcoming Miss Earth United States 2018 pageant in July. This is a title that I have set my sights on for a long time as I have been involved in projects involving the preservation of our earth.
Q . What is the best lesson you’ve learnt in your journey as the delegate of Miss Earth United States 2018?
The best lesson that I have learned so far during my very short tenure as Miss Florida Earth United States 2018 is that as a delegate and spokesperson for the state of Florida, it’s important to be very aware of many different types of environmental issues not only facing our state but our country and the entire world!
Q . What is the one thing that keeps you going and inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
I believe the one thing that keeps me going and will enable me to be the best version of myself is that I am extremely focused at this point in my life. I am attending school full-time hoping to become a physician and am planning to give back to my community in as many ways that I can. I also believe in always living life to the fullest.
Q . We would love to know more about your advocacy to save the Planet Earth and what drove you to choose it?
I advocate for bringing awareness to the overwhelming amount of plastic that is in our ocean and hope to educate people on the affects it has on our environment. I chose this cause because it is something that affects us all and will continue to if we don’t start cleaning our beaches and reduce, reuse and recycle plastic.
Q . How would you like to represent yourself at the national stage of Miss Earth United States 2018?
I would like to represent myself on the national stage as not only someone who is of sound body and mind , but someone who is knowledgeable not only about local and state environmental issues... but national and international ones as well. I will definitely be one hundred percent prepared for all portions of the competition!
Q . Who is your ideal, if any and what values of theirs do you wish you could inculcate in your own life, and teach the next generation?
My idol is Muhammad Ali. As an athlete my whole life I grew up admiring him. He’s The Greatest of All Time. He truly embodied his philosophy of “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” On top of that, he served as a symbol for everyone to aspire to.
Q . If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?
While being in an invisible state, I think it would be awesome to spend the day in the oval office and see what goes on behind closed doors and see what decisions are made / how they are influenced.
Q . Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?
My most special childhood memory would be when I got my first dog Fifi . My parents surprised me with him after passing the standardized test for the state of Florida in elementary school .
Q . What or who empowers you to be yourself and work hard every day?
I empower myself to work hard every day. I believe what you put out in the universe comes back to you. I stay focused on all my goals and I make sure I am always the hardest working in the room.
Q . What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure would be I adore carbohydrates! Anything really... especially : Mashed potatoes , pizza and, macaroni and cheese . I watch my intake of these foods and lead a very healthy lifestyle including daily working out and eating nutritiously but, I love my carbs!
Q .We’re sure that this competition is another milestone in your life. What is that one thing that you ultimately want to achieve?
While I know that there will only be one winner at the end of the Miss Earth United States 2018 pageant and while I hope to be the one chosen to represent the United States, I still want to feel regardless of the outcome, that I represented my beautiful state of Florida well. There are so many other wonderful benefits from participating in a national pageant like this and that even with all the fun, hard work and new friends made at the end of the day... I will still have a crown and sash and can and will still help anyone in need. This is a commitment I have made to myself and state.
Q . If you are granted 3 wishes right now, what would you ask for?
If given three wishes I Would ask for healing powers, Super strength, and more wishes ! Lol
Q . Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans of Angelopedia?
My message would be to follow my Facebook and Instagram social media pages! I will be doing a takeover May 23rd at 9 PM EST on Facebook live and also to check out my event that I’m hosting on June 10th . This event is a beach workout/cleanup.
