On September 4th 2020, a press conference was organized in Mexico for introducing the very new international beauty contest – Miss Glamour International, of which the first edition will take place this year in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Miss Glamour International is a beauty contest which will promote the integral beauty of women at an international level.

During the competition, candidates will be assessed on the basis of the elegance, expression of walking on the catwalk, physical beauty, charm, grace and discipline, as well as knowledge of the culture of their country, the personality and commitment of each participant.

The organizers of the Miss Glamour International 2021 pageant predict that in the competition will take part over fifty women from around the world. The most recent country to announce their delegation for the pilot edition of the pageant is Colombia.

María José Vargas is the official delegate for Colombia and will represent the country at Miss Glamour International 2021. The 21 year-old diva stand 175 cm tall and is a last year medicine student at the Javeriana University. She is also a professional model in Colombia who speaks Spanish, English and studies in Portuguese.

The Miss Glamour Colombia organization took to their social media to announce Maria’s delegation as they shared, “María José Vargas is our delegate for Colombia. An exemplary, professional woman, with ethical and moral values ??worthy of sharing with other women in the world.”

María also took to her socials to share the news where she wrote, “I have my heart full of love and joy, representing my country internationally is a goal and a dream for me. Today I finally make it official and I assume it with great pride and responsibility.”

The candidates will take part in a number of activities, incl. a swimwear contest, a traditional clothes contest or a contest for the best model. They will also participate in the preliminary competition, and above all in the grand finale, which the date has not yet been disclosed.

At the end of the grand finale, the winner of the pageant will be selected, who will receive the title and the crown of Miss Glamour International 2021, the right to live in an apartment for the entire year of her reign and stay in Oaxaca, as well as one hundred thousand dollars. Moreover, Miss Glamour International 2021 will travel and promote the tourism and culture of Oaxaca.
