The coronation ceremony of the 8th edition of Miss Global was hosted on 18th January 2020 in Oaxaca, Mexico where delegates from all over the world competed for the coveted crown. Karolína Kokešová Miss Global Czech Republic 2019 was crowned as Miss Global 2019 by the end of the event finale.
Karolina is 23-years old and stands 172cm tall. She has been prepping up for the competition since mid-November and strictly followed diets, exercise regime and walking schedules to ace her performance on stage. She succeeded Miss Global 2018 Sophia Ng from Hong Kong for the title.
Before leaving for Mexico for Miss Global 2019, Karolina stated, “I am very grateful to the management of the Czech Miss because they did not have to give me this opportunity. So I hope that I will not disappoint their trust and I will represent them in the best possible way,”
Karolina was a very strong contender for the title since the beginning as she is not new to the pageantry world. She has participated in Miss Czech Republic 2018 was placed as the third runner-up. Her experience and dedication helped her win the title and represent her country at an international level.
After winning the crown of Miss Global 2019, Karolina stated, "After all that happened, I didn't expect it to be announced at all, and even less to be placed. I can't believe it yet, but I have a crown, so yes, it happened,"
She presented her national costume designed by fashion designer David Hanykýr that was inspired by the glass industry of the Czech Republic and Czech nature. At the final gala evening, Kokešová also brought a white glitter gown from the workshop of the design duo Poner.

The coronation ceremony of Miss Global 2019 was nothing short of dramatic as one of the sponsors appeared on the stage and blamed the finalists for manipulating the results.
Miss Global Colombia 2019 strongly opposed it and announced that there was ‘fraud’ in the competition. Few delegates supported her as well. The ceremony was interrupted with the sponsor and Miss Global Colombia 2019’s sudden bashing and the winners were announced after the break at the Miss Global Leadership meeting.
