The Miss Global Jamaica organization has appointed Pickqueena Burrell as the new Miss Global Jamaica 2022 as she will now represent the country at the upcoming Miss Global 2022 competition, to be held on 11th June 2022 in Bali, Indonesia.

“In every woman there is a queen speak to the queen and the queen will answer. Words are not created to explain how i feel. I've been dreaming of this moment for my entire life. Finally the hard work and dedication has paid off, but about to beginning,” Burrell shared.

“I once had the dream of representing my country on an international stage and now that dream has actually come to life. So, at this moment I can actually that I am slowly becoming who I want to be,” she added. Pickqueena is a 21 years-old Business and Tourism management student who has big modelling dreams. She loves to read, write stories and volunteer to help those in need.

She believes her superpower is sheer determination. She aspires to inspire and change what young girls like her actually believe about themselves, especially those who have been sexually abused. Burrell wants to be the voice that echoes to and for these women through her project, Queens of Hope.

“I believe I was born to change our nation and to inspire young women worldwide. I will constantly remind them that the key to good life lies in happiness,” she shared. Pickqueena is strong, determined and passionate and can definitely be a potential contender for the international title this year.
