Miss Global Philippines 2018 is underway as it is scheduled to be held on 4 August, 2018 at Cove Manila, Philippines at 6 p.m. The number of candidates is yet to be revealed as the screening is still going on. Final screening will take place on July 7, 2018 at West Avenue Suites Function Hall, West Avenue, Quezon City as disclosed on the official website of Miss Global Philippines.

At the end of the event finale, Miss Global Philippines 2017 Mary Ann Mungcal will crown her successor and pass down her reign to the new global Filipino beauty. The winner of the Miss Global Philippines 2018 will then get to represent Philippines and showcase her talent and vision at the Miss Global 2018 pageant to be held later this year.

The mission, as stated on their website, of the contest is to be a national beauty pageant known for fielding outstanding and deserving Filipino women who will work towards the promotion of Philippine tourism and its culture. Moreover, the pageant shares a vision to provide assistance to government initiatives, both on local and national levels, in promoting Philippine tourism through the continuous efforts of the organization and the pageant’s existing winners.
