The Miss Globe organization hosted the world final show for the 2021 edition on 5th November at Opera Theatre in Tirana, Albania. The competition took place over two weeks, where stunning delegates from all over the world represented their countries. At the end of the event, Philippines’ Maureen Montagne was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Miss Globe 2020 Lorinda Kolgeci of Kosovo for the title.
Maureen is 28 years old and is of French and Filipino descent. She was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. She partakes in different sports including basketball, soccer and golf and also loves sewing and surfing. Montagne advocates for sustainable living and promotes local textiles of the Philippines.
Maureen works as a magazine writer and is also a professional host. She recalled how nervous she was when she got the call to emcee a concert at the Araneta Coliseum on her social media.
“It was the biggest event I would ever host and I was in awe of all of the attendees. I had so many nerves but was incredibly excited to be at such a monumental event in Smart Araneta Coliseum,” Montagne wrote.
Earlier this year, Montagne represented Batangas at Binibining Pilipinas 2021 and was crowned Miss Globe Philippines 2021. She is the second Miss Globe crowned from the Philippines following Ann Lorraine Colis, who was crowned in 2015.
The diva has been invested in the world of pageantry since a young age of 13 and boasts of a stunning portfolio as a pageant veteran, having won multiple pageants in the US and the Philippines. She was earlier crowned as Miss Arizona USA 2015. The diva also competed in Miss World Philippines 2018 where she was placed as the first runner up. She also made it to the Top 15 semi-finalists on Miss USA 2015 and was placed as the first runner-up in Miss World America 2017. The diva then competed in Miss Eco International 2019 where again, she was placed as the first runner up. She has been consistent in her efforts and has shown through as a true winner in the end, finally winning an international pageant.
