Philippines’ Maureen Montagne crowned The Miss Globe 2021

The Miss Globe organization hosted the world final show for the 2021 edition on 5th November at Opera Theater in Tirana, Albania. The competition took place over two weeks, where stunning delegates from all over the world represented their countries. At the end of the event, Philippines’ Maureen Montagne was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Miss Globe 2020 Lorinda Kolgeci of Kosovo for the title.

Maureen is a 28 years-old beauty pageant veteran, hailing from Taguig city, of Filipina and American heritage. Earlier this year, Montagne represented Batangas at Binibining Pilipinas 2021 and was crowned Miss Globe Philippines 2021. She is the second Miss Globe crowned from the Philippines following Ann Lorraine Colis, who was crowned in 2015.

The diva is no new to pageantry as she was earlier crowned as Miss Arizona USA 2015. The diva also competed in Miss World Philippines 2018 where she placed as the first runner up. The diva then finally, competed in Miss Eco International 2019 where again, she was placed as the first runner up.

 

 

Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne’s court includes –

First runner-up – Ester Ogechi Gabriel of Nigeria

Second runner-up – Melika Bali of Turkey

Third runner-up - Jhosskaren Carrizo Smiler of Venezuela

Fourth runner-up – Hailey Hamelin-Wilson of Canada

Apart from the Top 5, the preliminary winners were also announced at the ceremony, where, Bria Renee Lawrence of Guyana won Miss Bikini, Malaysia’s Malveen Kaur won the Head to Head challenege, whereas Vrisiída Andriotou of Greece won the Miss Talent title.

Special awards such as People’s Choice was won by Maria Heleen Toniste of Estonia, Miss Photogenic was won by Katariina Juselius of Finland, Siberia’s Daria Shapovalova won the Miss Elegance awards, Italy’s Benedetta Cadido was awarded as Miss Runway Model, Germany’s Jasmine Selberg won Miss Social Media whereas Peru’s Viveka Hernandez won the Best in National Costume.

 

 

The Binibining Pilipinas organization also congratulated Maureen on her win, saying, “Mrs Stella Marquez Arneta and BPCI are thrilled with your latest pageant achievement. We never doubted that you will represent our country so well internationally. You make us proud. See you back in the Philippines, our queen!”

Maureen shone throughout the competition with stellar performances in all the preliminary as well as pre-pageant competitions. For the final question round, she was asked, “Do you think beauty is a merit? And how come we enrich it with our values?”  Maureen beautifully answered, “I think that true beauty comes from within. To be a Miss Globe is to be a beauty that inspires. What makes us beautiful is our smiles, it’s what we do for our community, it’s how we give back to others, and it’s how we carry ourselves through lives. I believe that everyone has beauty inside of the and I believe it is our duty to share it to the world, give back and to truly inspire others.”

She is truly an inspiring and has won many hearts throughout the journey. Congratulations queen!
