Miss Grand Australia organization held the finals of 16th July 2022 at Sofitel Sydney where Amber Sidney was crowned Miss Grand Australia 2022 as she became the official representative of Australia at Miss Grand International 2022.

Amber Sidney gave a stellar performance at the national competition. She studied at Deakin University and has worked at Communications Coordinator at Maax Global. Amber Sidney, on winning the national crown, took to her official social media as she wrote, “Speechless!! Last night I was crowned Miss Grand Australia. I am so grateful for the opportunity to represent Australia at Miss Grand International. As promised I am going to use this crown to make a difference. To continue to raise funds and awareness for Destiny Rescue, to support children in Gigantes Island Philippines and to work alongside BullyZero to educate children in schools across Australia.”

“I am so proud of all the national finalists who each showed confidence, intelligence and grace. I am so happy to have made so many new friends and hope to see you all back next year”, she added.

The organization held the charity gala at Sofitel Sydney where the delegates raised funds for Destiny Rescue, an organization who rescue children from human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

The finalists introduced themselves to the world as our panel of judges scored each contestant's swimwear and evening gown runway based on walk, personality and styling. Then, the final question & answer round was asked based on current socio-political issues and the winner was announced.
