The 8th edition of the Miss Grand International i.e., Miss Grand International 2020 was scheduled to be held in the month of October 2020 in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The delegates from all over the world will compete for the title. At the end of the event, Miss Grand International in 2019 Valentina Figuera from Venezuela, will crown her successor. But due to the pandemic the Miss Grand International Organization has decided to postpone the pageant to early 2021. There hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the pageant’s postponing to 2021 so the confirmation is still awaiting.
Natalia Manrique from Colombia was appointed as the official representative of the country at Miss Grand International 2020 pageant on 31th May 2020. Natalia is 20-years-old and stands 175 cm tall. She is currently a student of social communication and journalism and works as a professional model. She is very passionate about her work as well as her studies.
Natalia is not new to pageantry as she was Miss Norte de Santander 2019 and Miss Colombia 2019 where she was placed at the Top 10 at the end of the event finale. She was appreciated for her performance and was one of the favorites during the competition. She is passionate about representing Colombia at international stage and being appointed as Miss Grand Colombia 2020 will give her a chance to do that.
Natalia feels blessed and extremely excited for her new role and opportunity as Miss Grand Colombia 2020 and is preparing for the finale event. She has worked with her various designers and brands in Colombia which has let her gain experience as well as knowledge about beauty pageants that will be an added advantage for her during the competition. The people she has worked with has mentioned that she is extremely hard working, quick to learn, and very indulged in her work. The diva believes that the true and ultimate meaning of life is to try to be happy without hurting anyone, and to share happiness with others. She feels extremely thankful for every opportunity she has been able to achieve till date because that has helped her to be confident, strong, and self-assured. She believes that one should never let oneself knocked down by others; unfortunately, there are people in the world who want to turn off your light but you yourself decide if you let yourself beat or show that you are strong. The crown of Miss Grand Colombia 2020 comes with a responsibility of showcasing the true Colombian values to the world and embrace the culture and she has been working on the same for the finale night. Since the rumors are flying that Miss Grand International 2020 has been postponed to next year, the delegates get to spend more time for working on themselves, their walk-onstage, body postures, angels and communication and interview-skills.
