The organization of Miss Czech Republic announced on their social media that Miss Grand Czech Republic 2020 Barbora Aglerova´ will not be able to represent the country at finale event of Miss Grand International 2020 scheduled to take place on 27th March 2021 in Thailand due to a knee injury.

The organization posted, “We are very sorry to inform you that our Barbora Aglerová will not be able to participate in the prestigious Miss Grand International 2020 world competition due to health reasons, when she was to travel to Thailand on 28th February 2021. Last week, while hiking in the mountains, she slipped and injured her knee. After visiting the emergency room, where they had to pull water out of her injured knee and strengthen it with an orthosis, therefore Barbora will have to lighten her leg with crutches. The doctor has ruled out her possibility of representation in the world. He has ordered a rest regime, which also means the inability to walk on heels, which is a daily necessity in the competition. Unfortunately, this situation will not allow her to travel to Thailand and fulfill her big dream, which is to compete in one of the world's largest Miss Grand International 2020 competitions.”

Barbora shared, "I honestly say that I didn't go with any high expectations until 2021, but I wasn't really ready for everything that the first month of this year brought me. I had health problems related to Crohn's disease at the beginning of January. My beloved grandfather left me last week. But I had no idea that bad days were not over. Right now, I'm lying-in bed with an injured knee.”

The diva further shared that she has faced some problems with her knee because of Crohn’s disease but last week while she was hiking back, her knee was swollen and the doctor has advised her not to use heels and recover. She is devasted with what has happened as she was excited to represent the country at Miss Grand International 2020 and was already preparing herself to fly to Thailand.

The organization also shared that she understands that her health should be her priority and will recover until the knee heals completely. The organization will announce the representative of Czech Republic for Miss Grand International 2020 soon.

Sending good health and speedy recovery to the queen!
