Lady Leon will be representing the Dominican Republic at Miss Grand International 2020 stage as she was crowned as the new queen on 14th November 2020. The announcement was made on their official social media account and Lady Leon is very excited to take over the crown duties as Miss Grand Dominican Republic 2020. She has succeeded Miss Grand Dominican Republic 2019 Stephanie Bustamante for the title.
After being crowned as Miss Grand Dominican Republic 2020, the diva took to her social media to thank the organization and everyone who helped her to stay motivated and supported her throughout her journey. She mentioned, “First I want to start with thanking God for allowing me to live my dreams to the fullest. I am one of the people who believes that through work and effort you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. Thanks to my organization of Miss of Dominican Republic for opening the doors and welcoming me in a unique way. I have a commitment not only with myself but also with everyone who sees me as inspiration to achieve their goals.”
Along with Lady Leon being crowned as Miss Grand Dominican Republic 2020, Eoanna Constanza was crowned Miss Supranational Dominican Republic 2020, and Maria Felix Miss Asia Pacific Dominican Republic 2020.
Lady Leon has been working as a professional model for a while and strongly believes that beauty pageants have helped her to develop herself more in the area of projection and modelling. She gets to be a better human and model every day and she has also learnt that everything you want needs effort and hard work. She has been a part of various fashion shows and regional pageants which has helped her to gain experience and knowledge about beauty pageants which is going to help her in the future.
The diva is a strong, determined, and focused woman who wants to make the people of her community happy and proud by performing her best at the competition. She wants to be a positive change in the community and would work on the same path. She explains that the crown and sash just doesn’t mean that she gets to represent the country at international stage but, “it means commitment, courage, dedication, goals, dreams and a number of other things.” She is beautiful, humble, hardworking, and focused towards her goal which can make her one of the favourites for the title.
