Miss Grand International 2015 - Contestants Enjoys the Richness of Thai culture

After experiencing the beauty of Trat islands and its pristine beaches, it was now time for the Miss Grand International 2015 delegates to feel part of the affluent Thai culture in the province of Samut Songkhram, Thailand.

On Wednesday night, the contestants were welcomed with a street parade where thousands of people greeted the 80 candidates and the reigning queen, Cuba’s Lees Garcia, with beaming smiles on their faces. They rode trams & tuk tuks!!

The stunners were then taken to a spendthrift dinner at The Grace Amphawa Resort and Restaurant. They joined one of the most traditional festivals of Thailand, “Loy Kratong Festival”.

Then the candidates went on  to visit several temples and truly live the Thai culture, like for instance, in the Krom Luang sanctuary. They also visited the Catholic Cathedral of Nativity and Our Lady.

Celebrating diversity, they learned about the temple and the local religion, after once again being warmly welcomed by locals.

On an another extraordinary day, MGI candidates were treated to a fancy dinner at Asita Eco Resort. There they tasted the best of Thai cuisine and even got a chance to cook a little! They danced, sang and had a ball before heading to their hotel.

All we can say is that Miss Grand International is more than a beauty pageant, it is a regal experience!
