Awe-inspiring beauty of Philippines, Nicole Cordoves, the first runner up at the Miss Grand International 2016 recently talked about life after the pageant, her favourite hobby-reading, and why Filipinas are winning the way to the top at beauty pageants..Let’s find out what she has to say!
There were many questions on Nicole’s absence when only the title holder and second runner up were seen during the official MGI 2016 Laos trip. Here, we see the beauty in her quirky self. Nicole had been busy with meetings, guestings, as well as finding some time to spend with her family. The gorgeous answered many questions while keeping up with her cheerful mood during the interview recently aired on a social media page of the Miss Grand International pageant.

According to Cordoves, Social Entrepreneurship should be made as a mandatory subject in High School and “values of charity, empathy, good work, good will” should be taught so that they are imbibed in each one of us.
The beauty emphasised on the importance of reading and influenced her fans by telling that she never travels without a book. She even proved her point by showing the book that she is currently reading, and sharing her views on the last she read, saying that one must read the book- A Man Called Ove’.
According to Nicole, the hardest part during her beauty pageant journey was to be who she is, to become a beauty queen without losing her true self. She expresses that the trophy, which she calls ‘Golden Lady’ reminds her how proud she is of herself. She advises her fans to always keep going and keep lots of dreams lined up as at least one of them is surely going to come true.
The most interesting part of the interview was when the lady was questioned what she thinks is the reason of Philippines back to back wins at international beauty pageants. The beauty, very gracefully, answered that it is the spirit, humility, and the attitude of the Filipinas. She goes on to say that they never let victory get to their heads, but with optimism and hard work they want to win for their country. The beauty defines the attitude of the Philippines’ women as the ‘fighting spirit with a humble heart.’

The delegate was crowned as the first runner up on October 25’ 2016 in Las Vegas and she is all set to carry forward the MGI organisation’s mission to stop war and violence through her good views and modest disposition.
