Ireland will compete this year in Miss Grand International 2019 for the first time under the delegation of Hollie Hersey as she has been recently appointed as Miss Grand Ireland 2019. She will be creating history as she is the first beauty to hold the title.

The newly crowned beauty is not only the first beauty to represent Ireland at Miss Grand International 2019 but also the first diva from Co. Roscommon to represent her country at a major international beauty competition. The 22-year-old beauty has studied music and plays piano, flute, and guitar. She is a trilingual who speaks three languages and has spent two years living in Canada. She has an interest in sustainable fashion and music therapy. She is quite dedicated to raising awareness for mental health.  Through her volunteering alongside a music therapist, she has helped people with problems including depression, Alzheimer’s, intellectual disabilities, neurological and cognitive disorders.

Being an experienced beauty, she has competed in Miss Universe Ireland 2019 but failed to secure a spot and the opportunity to represent Ireland at Miss Universe 2019 pageant. However, this is an addon to her experience and will help her secure a spot in Miss Grand International 2019.

After being appointed, the beauty took this to her official Instagram account where she posted, “Thank you, everyone, for all the lovely messages, wishes of luck and support I have received from All over the world. Since the country has just made her debut in Miss Grand International pageant with this year’s edition, this would put a lot of pressure on Hollie’s shoulders to perform well as the pride of the country now lies in her hands.
