Miss Grand Japan 2022, the 8th edition of the national pageant, was held last night, i.e. 6th August 2022 at Yokosuka Arts Theater, Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan where Seira Inoue was crowned the new queen. Seira will represent Japan at Miss Grand International 2022.
On winning Miss Grand Japan 2022, Seira Inoue took to her official social media as she wrote, “I won the Japan tournament yesterday and was able to become the Miss Grand Japan 2022 Japan representative. However, I was able to come this far thanks to everyone who supported me, people at work, family, friends, the finalists who worked hard together, the people involved in Miss Grand Japan, and the judges.”
The newly crowned Miss Grand Japan 2022 Seira Inoue’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Maria Nasu
2nd Runner-up – Mizuki Takashima
3rd Runner-up – Anna Yamanouchi
4th Runner-up – Yukino Jahana
Top 10 also included Megumi Ikegami, Mika Takeda, Riko Asanuma, Yume Uchida and Yuriko Teshima while Top 23 also included Akane Yoshino, Asahi Mori, Cocoa Yoneda, Haruka Aratake, Haruno Nakagawa, Hitomi Yoshida, Kanako Kichiraku, Kimi Tsuchiwata, Manami Sazawa, Rio Ishida, Saki Kobayashi, Yumi Ogawa and Yurie Atsumi.
A number of special awards were presented at the finale - Best in Social Media went to Yuriko Teshima, Best in Evening Gown went to Maria Nasu, Best in Swimwear went to Kanako Kichiraku, Miss Peace went to Hitomi Yoshida, Miss Popular went to Meugumi Ikegami and JCI Yokosuka Best Award went to Yurie Atsumi.
