Miss Grand Laos organization held the finale of the 2022 edition of the pageant on Saturday evening at an event held at the National Convention Center in Vientiane Capital. At the end of the event finale, Phoutsavanh Vongkhamxao was crowned Miss Grand Laos 2022 and will now represent Laos at Miss Grand International 2022.
Phoutsavanh is 25 years of age and is known as Dina. She also introduced herself during the interview where she mentioned that she is an employee at Lao Development Bank. As the winner, she received a crown inspired by That Luang Stupa, as well as LAK 100,000,000 in cash, Lao Airlines flights, and other prizes.
Also, at the end of the event finale, Soukanya Soulivong was adjudged first runner-up, Chitta Thipphonephosy was adjudged second runner-up and Kittima Khanthapengxai was adjudged as the third runner-up.
Phoutsavanh succeeds Daomixay Phachansitthy Miss Grand Laos 2021 who represented Laos at Miss Grand International 2021 but did not place in the Top 2021. If Phoutsavanh wins the international crown for her country, it will debut Laos’ win at Miss Grand International.
