Miss Grand International 2022, the 10th anniversary of the pageant, seemed to be another disappointment for Filipino fans as Roberta Tamongdong, fan-favourite since the beginning of the competition, failed to advance more than Top 20 at the finale.

While Brazilian fans celebrated their first win in Miss Grand International with Isabella Menin’s crowning, the Filipinos were left disappointed with Roberta’s placement as they were hoping for her to win the first crown for Philippines. Indeed, Roberta deserved a better placement at the finale held on 25th October 2022 in Indonesia.

Roberta Tamondong’s presence was noted since she arrived in Indonesia. She took part in visits to safaris, museums, as well as the other activities impressing everyone with her charming personality. She looked elegant and glamourous attending all the events organized by the organization. She was also a sight to behold at the interviews where she impressed everyone with her confidence and exceedingly well communication skills.

The stunning beauty dazzled the audiences with her intricately-designed golden gown during the preliminary competition. Through her national costume, where she paid tribute to Pura Villanueva Kalaw, the first Filipina beauty queen. She sure was a strong contender for the Miss Grand International 2022 crown this year.

However, Roberta remains compassionate and strong as ever as she thanked all those who supported her in her Miss Grand International stint, hoping that she was able to make her country proud. She also hinted at a ‘next adventure’, which led to her fans to encourage her to try representing the Philippines in esteemed pageant such as Miss Universe.
