Ekaterina Astashenkova has been officially designated as Miss Grand Russia 2022 and will represent Russia at the upcoming edition of Miss Grand International, to be held in Indonesia. The decision was made by Anton Sergeevi, the national director of Miss Grand and Miss Earth in Russia.

Ekaterina Astashenkova is 24 years of age and stands 178 cm tall. Ekaterina is a biologist and model who hails from Vladivostok, Russia. She graduated from Moscow State University. Ekaterina has already made a name for herself in the pageantry in her country as a strong and competitive beauty queen.

Not new to the pageant world, Ekaterina represented Russia in Top Model of the World 2018 and then won Miss Globe World 2018. The Russian beauty has the experience of representing her country at an international platform along with a strong personality which makes her a strong contender for Miss Grand International crown.

Ekaterina succeeds Miss Grand Russia 2021 Alesia Igorevna Semerenko who represented Russia at Miss Grand International 2021. However, Alesia could not place in the Top 22. The country is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Grand International.
