Amylia Deng, a pageant veteran from South Sudan, is returning to the pageant world for one last time as she has been officially designated as Miss Grand South Sudan 2023 and is now preparing to represent her country at Miss Grand International 2023.

The designation was also confirmed by Miss Grand International organization on their official social media. Amylia Deng is 24 years of age and stands 181 cm tall. Amylia, as a diplomat, is always motivated by her passion for diplomacy, philanthropy, and the power of education.

Amylia has already witnessed impacts that diplomacy can have on global issues which has fueled her desire to bring positive change to South Sudan. Apart from being a diplomat, Amylia is also a philanthropist and an author. Her book ‘Even After the Darkest Moments’ serves as an inspiring testament to her resilience and determination, aiming to empower others to find hope in any challenges.

Amylia has also dedicated her time with education and with her own organization, she has successfully enrolled 200 underprivileged children back into school. Through her Miss Grand South Sudan 2023 title, Amylia Deng wishes to raise awareness towards the critical need for education and support of orphans and street children.

Miss Grand International 2023, the 11th edition of the Miss Grand International, will be held on 25th October 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin of Brazil will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
