In an official announcement by Miss Grand International, New crown and sash for Miss Grand Spain 2018 was unveiled.
The international pageant took to their official Facebook account to reveal the details of the beautiful crown.
"New Crown & Sash for Miss Grand Spain 2018!
Inspired by flamenco and Arabian culture, the new crown of Miss Grand Spain is a piece of art created by the hands of the Spanish craftsman Jesus Helmo.
The artist has intended to portrait the beauty of the Mudejar art in this crown’s silhouette. This is the reason why some elements may remind us to the Alhambra in Granada, The Great Mosque of Cordoba or the Giralda of Seville.
Since Spanish culture inherited a lot from Arabian and Muslim culture, this important artisan from Cadiz wanted to reinforce the idea of equality among cultures.
This crown is built on a base of leaves embellished by Swarovski crystals, and red and gold brilliants (colours of the Spanish flag).
Its four points evoke the cardinal points of the country, and on the top of it, there is a small Fleur de Liss symbol of Isabel The Catholic and her devotion to Blessed Virgin Mary."
