Ainara De Santamaria crowned Miss Grand Spain 2019

Miss Grand Spain 2019 held its grand finale on 6th July 2019 at Hotel Campomar where thirty one delegates competed for the national crown and the opportunity to represent Spain in Miss Grand International2019. At the conclusion of the contest, Ainara De Santamaria representing Cantabria was crowned the new queen by the reigning Miss Grand International Clara Sosa of Paraguay.

The 23-year-old diva is a graduate in Psychology and is currently working as a member of Penitentiary Institution. She is not new to the pageantry as earlier she represented Spain in Miss Earth 2017 as Miss Earth Spain 2017. This will be her second stint at representing Spain on an international level. Ainara was a part of our Top favourites competing for the title as well. The newly crowned queen’s court included –

1st Runner-Up - Andrea Ávila representing Madrid

2nd Runner-Up - Miriam Herrera Juan representing Jaen

3rd Runner-Up - Guadalupe Álvarez Ruiz representing Cadiz

4th Runner-Up - Iris Miguélez Mendez representing Costa Gallega

Out of the thirty one contestants that begun to compete for the national crown, only fourteen moved forward as the finale progressed - Mariana D'orazio Gómez, Sorina Dolghieru, Ángela Gil Pinto, Yaiza Cabello, Lucía Andrade, Andrea Ávila, Miriam Herrera Juan, Guadalupe Álvarez, Iris Miguélez, María José Parra, Verónica Quirós, María Jesús Delgado Rosales and Nuria Rodríguez.

As the competition neared its conclusion, the fourteen were then cut down to Top 10 who gave each other a strong competition - Mariana D'orazio Gómez, Sorina Dolghieru, Ángela Gil Pinto, Yaiza Cabello, Lucía Andrade, Andrea Ávila, Miriam Herrera Juan, Guadalupe Álvarez, Iris Miguélez.
