Queen Mugesi Ainory Gesase has been crowned Miss Grand Tanzania 2018 as revealed by the official social media of Miss Grand International Organization. Queen Mugesi will now represent Tanzania at Miss Grand International 2018 to be held on 25th October 2018 in Myanmar, Burma.

Queen Mugesi succeeds Batuli Mohammed who was crowned Miss Grand Tanzania 2017. Batuli was selected in the top 25 finalists for Best in Traditional Costume at Miss Grand International 2017.

Queen Mugesi is a student at International Relations and Diplomacy at Center for Foreign Relations. She is 18 years of age and stands tall at a height of 178 cm. Queen Mugesi entered into the fashion and modelling world four years ago, and now she has become a professional model. She likes to travel to different places. Queen Mugesi loves singing, dancing and swimming as well.

Mugesi works in an organization named Alpha and Omega Reconciliation and Peace Building, since 2017, where she volunteers. She wishes to create awareness to the youth by educating and campaigning for the prevention of war and violence and effects it has on women and children.

Miss Grand International Organization made an official confirmation through their social media where they congratulated Queen Mugesi Ainory Gesase upon her win and welcomed her to the Grand International family.

They wrote, “She (QueenMugesi Ainory Gesase) is honoured to be part of the Miss Grand International 2018 competition. She will use her voice to address the problem faced by women and children at war. We all know that women and children are the innocent victims of war. We have to do much more to respond to their cries. She's looking forward to strengthening the collaboration in ending war and violence focusing on campaigning STOP WAR against women and children so that we all can live a peaceful life and fulfilling our dreams. QueenMugesi Ainory Gesase will represent Tanzania at Miss Grand International 2018 to be held in Myanmar this coming October. Congratulations and officially welcome to our Grand Family!”
