In an official announcement by the official Facebook page of Miss Haiti, the organisation declared the casting for this year’s Miss Haiti pageant open. Miss Haiti 2017 Cassandra Chery will crown her successor at the end of the pageant finale.
The Miss Haiti pageant is responsible for selecting the country's representatives to the Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Globe, MTQI, International Coffee Queen, Panamerican Queen of the Sugarcane pageants (among others).
The registration spots are declared as follows –
· Villa Thérèse Hotel, Gamebox, Muncheez (Petion-Ville)
· Haiti Courier (Airport Road )
· Kuproduction (Delmas 19)

Miss Haiti 2016 Raquel Pélissier made her country proud at Miss Universe 2016 after she was placed as the first runner-up. However, Miss Haiti 2017 Cassandra Chery could not achieve any placement at Miss Universe 2017.
