14 Feb 2018 | Irina Silva

Miss Indonesia 2018 contestants know how to keep the competition alive. Just after the official press conference, the girls have geared-up and started their fast-track challenges with zeal and enthusiasm.

It was a sight to enjoy when the 34 candidates turned in the shades of reds, yellows, blues and greens to compete in the sports challenge of the competition yesterday. The girls were divided in 4 teams and it was pretty appealing to see how the teams were given unique names. Each team symbolised a letter of the word “Miss” –

Manner: Red

Impressive: Yellow

Smart: Green

Social: Blue

They were seen cheering loudly for their team members while involving in sports activities like sit ups, push ups, stepping, futsal, and water volleyball. Keeping the grit of the competition alive, the girls had their team colour pom-poms in hand and they were uplifting their fellow team member’s spirits.

Just as the sports challenge was over, the girls quickly started preparing for the talent competition. They showcased their various talents in which they specialized.

It is to be noted that these fast-track challenges play a vital role in the competition as the overall performance in these rounds will attribute towards the score of the contestants that they will get at the finale night on 22nd February 2018. There are six fast tracks that must be passed by Miss Indonesia 2018 finalists. Starting from ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ (BWAP), Nature and Beauty Fashion, Sport Competition, Talent Show, Catwalk, and Social Media.

However, of the six fast-tracks, the most focused is BWAP. "Because Miss Indonesia mission is that the winner should be a woman who is not only beautiful, but also has a purpose in life with ‘Beauty With A Purpose,’" said Chairwoman of Miss Indonesia Organization Liliana Tanoesoedibjo in Miss Indonesia 2018 press conference.
