After beating 64 other countries to claim the title of Miss Intercontinental, Verónica Salas Vallejo finally returned to her home country of Mexico. The beauty queen was greeted by a huge crowd of fans, supporters and the media alike.
The beauty queen’s arrival was announced on various Facebook pages. A day prior to the beauty queen’s arrival the Miss Intercontinental México page on Facebook said: We invite you to receive our Miss Intercontinental 2017 Veronica Salas Vallejo, at Mexico city airport, tomorrow Saturday, January 27th at 19:00 hrs (Centro MX).
They even started a live video at the arrival of Miss Intercontinental 2017 Veronica Salas Vallejo, which was later shared by the Miss Intercontinental page on Facebook.
After a glamorous finale, Verónica Salas Vallejo from Mexico was crowned as the winner of Miss Intercontinental 2017. The finale of the pageant was held in The Sunrise Resorts, Hurghada-Egypt. Verónica Salas Vallejo battled out 64 other countries to claim the title of Miss Intercontinental. She was crowned by the outgoing queen Heilymar Rosario from Puerto Rico.
Through an official poll the title of ‘People’s Choice by TGPC’ went to Miss Vietnam who got a direct entry into the Top 18. Miss Korea was declared as the winner of Miss Sunrise Resort and got a direct entry in Top 6.
At the same event, Priyanka Kumari from India was declared as the winner of Best National Costume. Jessica Basilia Torres from Paraguay was given the title of Best in Evening Gown while Dalila Jabri from German was given the subtitle of Best in Swimsuit.
