As 47th edition of Miss Intercontinental took place on 26th January 2019 at Manila Philippines and all the delegates from all over the world participated in the event, out of which, Karen Gallman of Philippines brought the first-ever crown to the country of Miss Intercontinental 2018.

Karen’s victory was not only for herself but for the entire nation as she has made history for the Philippines as the first ever Filipina to bring down the crown to the country.

Karen’s happiness was seen in one of her posts in her official Instagram account where she wrote, “We did it the Philippines! I’m so proud to bring our nation its first Intercontinental crown. The overwhelming support from you all has been amazing and I can’t thank you all enough nor have done it without you.

This crown is not just for me, it’s for all of you and a representation of what we can achieve as a nation. Keep pushing to be the best version of yourself by ‘always looking up to God and being thankful for everything’.

Thank you to my MIC queens, chaperones and the team for a wonderful three weeks that I will always cherish!”

Now is the first ever Miss Intercontinental from the Philippines, she would be carrying a lot of hopes of the Filipino fellows for the development of her country in different aspects. Moreover, she is expected to escalate for the better education for poor kids living in rural areas during her reign.

This victory was well deserving as during the Question and Answer round in finale, she kept her opinion that ‘Success is about setting goals, working hard to achieve them and dream bigger. But besides this, be thankful to God for what you have right now.’ Such a deep thought really deserved appreciation.
