Canada will compete in Miss Intercontinental 2019 under Courtney Mandock’s delegation this year as she was adjudged the second runner-up and was crowned Miss Intercontinental Canada 2019 at the coronation night of Miss World Canada 2019 held on 27th July 2019. She succeeds Miss Intercontinental 2018 Alice Li.

Courtney along with winning the title, has also taken over the responsibilities and advocacies associated with the title. She is overwhelmed with happiness and her feelings are completely visible in her recent post which she uploaded on her official Instagram and Facebook account.

What a whirlwind the last week has been… My goal for myself at this pageant was to be true to myself by living my platform, @RefractionsOfAReality, and letting Canada hear my #ROAR. From meeting amazing ladies from all across Canada, answering on TV that I couldn’t wait to eat poutine after the pageant, laughing until I cried (literally), wearing my dream red dress on a national stage, and answering a final question by @thepageantspotlight – I stayed true to myself through all of it. My dream wasn’t for a bigger crown for the sake of it, but to embody being myself (every facet, every refraction), and show that across Canada. Full disclosure: I was terrified to compete again. I had competed in 5 pageants, 3 at the National level and I only ever made top 15 once. Back in 2017, I competed at Miss World Canada and didn’t place. I thought I was ready, that I did everything I could do, but I still didn’t make it. I was crushed. Now fast forward almost two years. I have since graduated Engineering, received my #IronRing, and I am working full time as a manufacturing engineer. My professional life was coming together and I started thinking about pageants again. As terrified as I was that I wouldn’t place, I didn’t want the regret that would come if I let fear dictate what I did or didn't do. This was the first pageant that I’ve entered where I was working full time, Monday to Friday, for 7 months prior to the pageant. I was disciplined about my daily life: work, workout, practice walking, practice questions in the car. I was more thoughtful about what I was eating – but still made time for ice cream and frapps every once in a while! Engineering has taught me determination and resilience, and I have applied both to my pageant journey. They are skills that I will use for the rest of my life, and I can’t wait to find out more about myself as I embark on this next chapter. Follow my year and stay tuned while I work towards @MissIntercontinentalOfficial crown this winter in India! Thank you @missworldcnd for trusting me with this title! Canada has heard my ROAR, now it’s time for the world to hear it as well. Your Miss Intercontinental Canada 2019, Courtney Mandock

The beauty is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering and is currently working on a project named ‘Refractions of Reality’ which basically works on creating a community where everyone can share their real self and inspire others by their stories.

Courtney seems to be a confident beauty who has a force to perform outstandingly at an international platform and bring pride to the country and her loved ones.

Wishing heartiest congratulations to her!
