Miss Intercontinental 2019 Fanni Mikó from Hungary will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Miss Jamaica Intercontinental has just announced a few hours ago that Shanique Thompson is the newly appointed Miss Intercontinental Jamaica 2020 and will be heading to Egypt to represent Jamaica at the Miss Intercontinental 2020 stage.

The organization introduced Shanique in an official post as they wrote, “Introducing the beautiful Shanique Thompson, our Miss Intercontinental Jamaica 2020. She will be heading to Sharm El Sheik, Egypt this October for the 49th staging of Miss Intercontinental 2020. We are rooting for you Queen! “

23 years-old Shanique was crowned Miss Maxeff Motors last year and was adjudged as the third runner-up of Miss Universe Jamiaca 2020. She currently holds a BSc. degree in Business Administration, who is currently employed to Barita Investments Limited in Mandeville. She is also the reigning Miss Universe Jamaica Central.

Thompson aims to own a brokerage firm in Jamaica, because financial literacy is an important aspect of life for her. It is her aim to make Jamaica a better place financially which in turn would lead to better spending and investing habits. Shanique believes that, “Every day is a new opportunity to become a better version of yourself.”

Jamaica has been running a dry spell in the competition since Sandra Foster brought home the crown in 1990. Shanique Thompson is a potential runner for the title this year as she is wise, well-spoken and an experienced delegate and will definitely prove to be a strong contender at the international stage. The diva has already started preparing herself for the finale event as she has her eyes on the prize.
