When Nang Mway Phoung Loong did not win the crown of Miss Universe Myanmar 2018, another door was opened for her to represent her nation in an international pageant. Her brilliant performance during the finale earned her the crown of Miss Intercontinental Myanmar 2018 and thereafter the right to represent Myanmar in Miss Intercontinental 2018 to be held on 26th January 2019 in Manila, Philippines.

Born in the Golden Land of Myanmar, Nang is a student of Bachelor Of Business Administration at Assumption University in Thailand. Growing up in Myanmar, she learnt very early on how to respect others. Nang is also very proud of the rich natural resources that her country has to offer. She gives credit of her unique, adventurous and cheerful personality to her country and her hometown.

The 21-year-old model says that the death of her father taught her to be independent in life and dared her to take risks. Nang’s role model is her own mother who she thinks is very decisive and encouraged this beauty queen to become a leader and not a follower. Nang considers her special talent as the ability to influence others through communication. As a representative of her nation in Miss Intercontinental this year, Nang wants to show the world that no matter the difference, be it global, national or continental, we all are one.

During her free time, Nang can be seen travelling, singing or meditating. She is very passionate about teaching and her life’s motto is ‘Create your own value’, which speaks in depth about her hardworking and determined personality. As a cherry on top, Nang is also multilingual with the ability to speak English, Thai and Burmese languages.
