At the night of the grand finale of Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2018, Michelle van Sonsbeek was crowned Miss Intercontinental Netherlands 2018. She will now be representing Netherlands at Miss Intercontinental 2018 to be held later this year. Michelle was crowned by her predecessor, Miss Intercontinental Netherlands 2017 Cathelijne Heppenhuis. Cathelijne was adjudged Miss Europe and the 2nd runner-up at Miss Intercontinental 2017, which puts a little pressure on Michelle.
This finalist of Miss Beauty of Overijssel 2018 is no stranger to the pageant world as Michelle was a finalist at Miss Netherlands 2016 and also won the special award of Miss Popular 2016. She was crowned Miss Intercontinental Overijssel 2018 before being crowned the national winner.
Michelle is a 19-year-old student who is in her final year of Fashion & Design (Junior Stylist) program. Along with this, she is also working as a model with different agencies. This blonde with beautiful eyes is also a bathroom singer, a talent that was enjoyed by her neighbours as well.
The court of the new Miss Intercontinental Netherlands 2018 included the crowning of Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 Margaretha de Jong and Miss Teen of the Netherlands 2018 Quishantely Leito, who will be representing Netherlands at Miss Intercontinental 2018 and Miss Teen International 2018 respectively.
