At the grand finale of Miss Universe Guatemala 2018 (Miss Universe Guatemala 2018) held on 31st August 2018, Mariana García was crowned the new queen. The finale was held at Miguel Ángel Asturias National Theater and Miss Universe Guatemala 2017 Isel Aneli Suñiga crowned her successor at the conclusion of the event. Mariana García will now be representing Guatemala at Miss Universe 2018 to be held on 17th December 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mariana is just 19 years of age and stands tall at the height of 179 cm. By profession, she is a radio host as well as a model. During her free time, she likes to play golf and she claims to be a “lover of literature”. Mariana was chosen as the winner amongst 10 other contestants vying for the same title.

Miss Universe Guatemala 2017 Isel Aneli Suñiga represented Guatemala at Miss Universe 2017 but she failed to secure a position at the semi-finals. Guatemala is yet to make a mark at Miss Universe since its commencement, so here’s to hoping that Mariana changes the course of history.
