The grand coronation of Miss Universe Guatemala 2018 is slated to take place on 31st August 2018 at Miguel Ángel Asturias National Theater where 10 beautiful and deserving candidates will be competing for the national title. The finale will start at 19:00 hrs.

The winner of Miss Universe Guatemala 2018 will become the national delegate and go on to represent Guatemala at Miss Universe 2018 to be held later this year.

But before the finale, Angelopedia has selected the top 4 favourite contestants who are most likely to win the contest and make Guatemala proud at the international platform. The four contestants are as follows –

Mariana García

Winning the local title of Miss Departamento Guatemala Universe 2018, we have Mariana García who is 19 years of age and stands 179 cm tall. She is a model and a radio host by profession. Mariana claims that she is a “lover of literature” and likes to play golf as well.

Keila Rodas

From Suchitepéquez we have Keila Rodas who won the local title of Miss Suchitepéquez Universe 2018 is an experienced dive in the pageant world. She is 22 years of age and stands tall at 170 cm. She has won numerous titles, like National Champion in Oratory, Miss Teen Mesoamerica Guatemala 2015 after which she represented Guatemala and won Miss Teen Mesoamerica International 2015 and National Queen of Humanities 2017 which makes her a tough competitor at Miss Universe Guatemala 2018.

Valerie Aguilar

Valerie Aguilar has won titles like Miss Continente Americano 2017, Miss Guatemala Caribe 2018, she was the 1st runner-up at Miss Santa Rosa Latina 2018 Miss Santa Rosa Universo 2018 and finally won the local title of Miss Santa Rosa Universe 2018 which made her a finalist at Miss Universe Guatemala 2018. She is 20 years of age and stands tall at 167 cm and it is no mystery that with all the experience in the pageant world, she is going to give the other contestants a run for the national title.

Lisbeth Gómez

Lisbeth won the national title of Miss Chiquimula Universe 2018 and is now a finalist of Miss Universe Guatemala 2018. She used to work at Radio La Voz de Jesucristo, a religious radio channel whose motive is to “share God's love with others”. She is 23 years of age and has a height of 177 cm.

At the conclusion of the event, Miss Universe Guatemala 2017 Isel Suñiga will be crowning her successor. She represented Guatemala at Miss Universe 2017, but could not secure a place in the semi-finals. Guatemala is yet to make its mark at Miss Universe 2018, so here is to hoping that this time Guatemala brings home the coveted crown.
