Miss Intercontinental 2018 is just a few days away and the delegates have begun to arrive in Manila, the Philippines for the coveted international pageant. With the Philippines hosting the competition for the first time, Karen Gallman, Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2018, has been presented with the responsibility of welcoming all the delegates to her host nation. While, surprisingly, Philippines has never won Miss Intercontinental crown since its inception, the chances of the country’s win have increased manifolds under Karen’s delegation.

Karen Gallman, the 24-year-old diva, was crowned Miss Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 last year during the finale of Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and it is a great opportunity for the beauty queen to create history by being crowned the first ever queen from the Philippines. The buzz in the pageantry is also in favour of the Filipina beauty as multiple bets are being placed on her as the potential winner.

Gallman is a daughter to a Filipino mother and a father who is half-Australian and half-Spanish. She was born in Bohol, and later she grew up in Australia. Now, she is living in her native land, Philippines. As a winner, Karen wishes to be a strong example for the other women as she quotes, “I would live to be a stellar example of a Filipina, and a woman of substance for people to look up to, and be the light of love and positivity to everyone I meet.”

Not new to the pageantry, Karen was also a contestant in Binibining Pilipinas 2012, where she appeared as one of the Top 12 finalists. Her participation made a noteworthy impression in the minds of the audience, which, in turn, made them more curious to know more about her.

As a matter of fact, victory of Philippines has lacked behind in the past record of the Miss Intercontinental pageant. While winning the first crown for her country and along with that hosting the whole pageant in the Philippines has put pressure on Karen’s shoulders, she is definitely working harder to attain the crown. Moreover, Karen will have her country supporting her there on stage every minute and she has already boosted up herself to pay the best of her and get crowned as Miss Intercontinental 2018.
