Miss International 2013 Bea Santiago first opened up about her chronic kidney disease in 2018. Just one day ago, the Filipina beauty took to her official social media about her recent kidney transplant.
Bea shared the photos with a video of her at Toronto General Hospital. She captioned the post, “New kidney, who this?”
“Thank you to my baby brother’s love and bean I am changed. Thank you world for showing me kindness and patience and ofcourse to my family, friends and strangers for your support, countless prayers and positive energy finally after the 3rd time and 3 years of dialysis! I feel brand new!!! I feel loved and renewed! thank you thank you thank you”, she added.
Bea then thanked all those who have prayed for her. She made special mention of her younger brother saying, “Thank you to my baby brother’s love and bean I am changed.”
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach also congratulated Bea for her bravery. She wrote, “So brave! What a woman! Congratulations, Bea!”
“Yay! So happy for you and sending you love and strength as you recover,” said Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters.
