Kylie Verzosa starts her Miss International 2016 Voyage

Kylie Verzosa won the coveted crown of Miss International 2016 on 27th October 2016. But soon her victory was overshadowed by the on-going controversial finale of Miss Earth 2016. It’s been a week since Kylie was adorned with the title, but the Pinoy beauty has already started off with her duties as the reigning queen.

Kylie has officially started her journey as Miss International. Her duties as the reigning Miss International have been both exciting and project oriented. Kylie visited the Ise Shrine. Ise Shrine located in the city of Ise, Mie Prefecture of Japan, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu.

The reigning queen also paid a visit to the city of Toba. She even came on board with the panel of a women’s entrepreneurship forum and enjoyed her first experience of picking pearls from cultivated oysters.

The Miss International Organisation even posted a video of Kylie Verzosa extracting a pearl from a cultivated oyster...

 

 

She also visited the UNICEF office in Japan, wherein she had put forward her views about how the development stages of a child are important. The beauty queen also had a round table discussion with the directors of UNICEF Japan and Denmark that focused mainly on maternal and child health.

 “The girls and I cannot wait to get back home to help our own UNICEF field offices,” she said. “There is so much that can be done. Together, we can help more.

After claiming the 2016 Miss International pageant, Kylie Verzosa becomes the sixth Filipino to win the crown.
