Miss Intercontinental 2022, the 50th edition of Miss Intercontinental, was held yesterday night at the Meraki Resort in Sharm el-Sheij, Egypt where Lê Nguyen Bao Ngoc of Vietnam was crowned the new winner. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Elle Obeñita of the Philippines.
The 21-year-old stunning Vietnamese beauty created history by being the first woman from her country to be crowned Miss Intercontinental. She beat 70 other contestants to win the international title. Ngoc was born in Can Tho. Prior to being appointed as Miss Intercontinental Vietnam 2022, she competed in Miss World Vietnam 2022 where she placed first runner-up.
The newly crowned Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Mariela Pepín Solís of Puerto Rico
2nd Runner-up – Maria Cecília Almeida de Sousa of Brazil
3rd Runner-up – Joy Raimi Mojisola of Nigeria
4th Runner-up – Tatjana Genrich of Germany
5th Runner-up – Emmy Marianne Carrero Mora of Venezuela
Top 20 also included Courtney Tester from Australia, Estefania Munoz Jaramillo from Colombia, Lourdes Feliu from Cuba, Gabrielle Camille Celada Basiano from Philippines, Patricia Perger from Hungary, Sarah Kawamura from Japan, Mahamoodally Zakiyyah from Mauritius, Melissa Tjemma Janneke Bottema from Netherlands, Karolína Syrotukova from Czech Republic, Maria Felix from Dominican Republic, Sylvia Šulíková from Slovak Republic, Anastasia Boslovyak from Russia, Heidi Amanda Jensen from Thailand and Yollanda Elizabeth Chimbarami from Zimbabwe.
The runners-up were also the winners of the continental titles; Miss Intercontinental North America 2022 went to Mariela Pepín Solís, Miss Intercontinental South America 2022 went to Maria Cecília de Sousa, Miss Intercontinental Africa 2022 went to Joy Raimi Mojisoha, Miss Intercontinental Europe 2022 went to Tatjana Genrich and Miss Power of Beauty went to Emmy Carrero.
