Miss International Hawaii organization, through the official social media, announced the designation of Maka?ala Perry as Miss International Hawaii 2023. Perry will represent Hawaii at Miss International 2023.

Maka?ala Perry is 24 years of age and a Flight Attendant, Musician, and Business Owner. Perry’s proudest achievement is opening her own business and being a role model in Hawaiian communities.

She started a dessert company with her mother ‘Sunbeams creamery’ during the pandemic, as a way to bring her family together and to raise funds for the hula school. By being a business owner and a hula teacher, she was able to offer the students opportunities to develop valuable work skills and learn about Hawaiian culture. Family, self-sustainability, and culture is very important to Perry.

On being designated as Miss International Hawaii 2023, Perry took to her official social media as she wrote, “So excited to announce.. I’m the new Miss International Hawai’i 2023!!! Thank you to the amazing MIH team and sponsors. I’m very grateful & honored for this year, and to represent my home at the Miss International pageant in Japan this October.”

Miss International 2023, the 61st Miss International, is scheduled to be held at the Yoyogi Gymnasium No. 2 in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on 26th October 2023 where Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg of Germany will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
