Mei Ueda of Kumamoto was crowned Miss International Japan 2024 at the finale of the national pageant held tonight in Tokyo. Mei Ueda will now prepare to represent her country at Miss International 2024 to be held next year in Japan.
Mei succeeds and was crowned by Miss International Japan 2023 Tamao Yoneyama. She is 25 years of age and a home economics teacher and model by profession. For the very first time, Mt. Fuji-inspired crown of Miss International Japan was passed on to the new successor.
On her win, Miss International organization also took to their official social media as they wrote, “Miss International Japan 2024 is Mei Ueda. She is Miss Kumamoto 2023 and works as a Home Economics teacher. She will be representing Japan in the 62nd Miss International Beauty Pageant. Congratulations!”
Also at the finale, Eriko Uchida of Chiba was adjudged as the first runner-up, Emma Saito from Chiba was adjudged as the second runner-up while Manami Kawate of Tokyo and Sae Takagi of Toyama were adjudged as the third and fourth runners-up respectively.
Miss International 2024, i.e. 62nd Miss International, will be held next year in Japan where Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
