Another week and another controversy. The latest one is from Mauritius. Manjushra Faugoo who was crowned Miss International Myanmar 2015 was to represent the country at the Miss International 2016 pageant. But that doesn’t seem to be happening now. The Mauritian organizing committee has decided to send someone else in her place.

This decision of the Mauritian Organisation has stirred a controversy and Manjusha is determined to fight for it till the end. As per the Organisation, Manjusha is “mentally unfit” to compete at the Miss International 2016 pageant. Manjusha Faugoo states that she is all prepared to undergo all the necessary tests to prove otherwise.
According to sources, Manjusha Faugoo is heartbroken, as she left her job just to go to Japan and now she doesn’t see that happening anymore. If sources are to be believed, Manjusha was told by the National Director, "It's my pageant, I do whatever I want".

The director and the president of the organizing committee of Miss Mauritius have refused to make any comments on the issue. However, one of the members of the organisation, Kevin Obeegadoo, claimed that there has been an official meeting with Manjusha and her mother. Kevin also said that he cannot reveal any more details before the official proceedings end.
Amidst all the heated controversy, Miss Mauritius International 2016 (Manjusha Faugoo) got into a clash with Miss World Mauritius 2016 (Veronique Rod) for having taken her picture while she was lying exhausted on the bed (during the pageant) apparently having been ordered to be taken by the National Director of Miss World Mauritius.
