Moldova returns to Miss International 2023 under Djulieta Calalb’s delegation

Miss International organization, through their official social media, announced the return of Moldova to Miss International stage at the 2023 edition. Djulieta Calalb has been delegated as Miss International Moldova 2023.

Djulieta Calalb is 18 years of age and a model who recently graduated high school. Not new to the pageant world, Calalb was adjudged as first runner-up at the Miss Moldova 2023 held in Chisinau last May. She previously also held the titles Catwalk Top Model Romania 2022 and Top Model Moldova 2021.

 

 

Miss International official statement was as follows: “Moldova is coming back to the Miss International stage with the beautiful Djulieta Calalb, a recent high school graduate and the 1st Vice-Queen of Miss Moldova 2023. Djulieta will proudly carry the Moldovan flag at the 61st Miss International to be held this coming October in Tokyo, Japan.”

Moldova is making a return to Miss International stage after five years. However, Miss International was not held for two years, 2020 and 2021, due to covid-19. In 2018, Daniela Marin last represented her country at Miss International 2018 where she did not place.

 

 

Miss International 2023, the 61st edition of Miss International, will be held at the Yoyogi Gymnasium No. 2 in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on 26th October 2023 where Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg of Germany will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
