Earlyca Frederick was crowned Miss Universe Saint Lucia 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on Monday, 31st July 2023 at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian in Gros Islet as she became the official representative of Saint Lucia at Miss Universe 2023.

Earlyca Frederick is 25 years of age and primary school teacher hailing from the southwestern district of Choiseul. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Saint Lucia 2023 Sheris Paul who represented her country at Miss Universe 2022 but unfortunately did not place.

Not new to the pageantry, Earlyca previously held the title of Miss World Saint Lucia, won first runner-up at Miss Independence Saint Lucia, won National Carnival Queen, placed second at Miss Jaycee, and won Miss OECS.

On becoming crowned Miss Universe Saint Lucia 2023, Earlyca shared, “This all feels so surreal considering that I’m now one step closer to achieving my childhood dream to become Miss Universe. The journey, however, has only just begun. It is my intention to utilize this platform to create indelible linkages. Epitomizing the diversity in beauty to inspire and facilitate inclusivity and integration on the international scale is essential.”

Fulfilling her humanitarian works, Earlyca is a part of several groups including the Choiseul Youth and Sports Council, the Catholic youth group Chosen Stories as well the church choir. She is a true definition of beauty with brains.

She has also served on the National Youth Council and the board of the Cultural Development Foundation. She wishes to inspire and mould young minds through education, advocacy, and pageantry while encouraging them to be their best and most authentic selves.

Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held in San Salvador, El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
