The organization of Miss International Peru has officially appointed Michelle Lo´pez Ortega as Miss International Peru 2021 and she will represent the country at the upcoming Miss International 2021. She succeeds Miss International Peri 2019 Maria Jose Tula Barbis Portocarrero who won the continental title of Miss International America 2019 at the pageant last year.

Hailing from Arequipa, 26 years old Michelle stands 175 cm tall and has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Catholic University of Santa María. At the request of ICA, Michelle has been appointed based on her international experience and we are sure that she will leave the country very high.

Lopez competed in Miss International Peru 2019 and was named Miss Latina Peru. She represented the country at the Miss Ame´rica Latina del Mundo 2019 contest and finished as virreina, the first runner-up. She is definitely a strong candidate and an ideal choice for the title as she has skills, confidence and experience to make her country proud at an international platform.

Peru’s performance at major beauty pageants including Miss International has been commendable over the years with some of the best delegates shining on the stage, but unfortunately the country is yet to pioneer its win at the Miss International pageant.

Michelle’s delegation this year, gives hope to the fans as she shows immense potential of a winning performance this year. Miss International 2021 will be the 60th edition of Miss International pageant to be held in November 2021 at Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
